KATHMANDU, March 10 -- Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Thakur Mohan Shrestha has been assaulted.

Shrestha was assaulted while leaving the office of RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden at the central office of the party office, Dhumbarahi. He was followed by some young men when he came out of Lingden's office. While he tried to escape, he was beaten at the door.

Later, the leaders, including Buddhiman Tamang, intervened and stopped the attack. One of the leaders said that it is not clear who the attackers are and why they attacked Shrestha.
