ROLPA, June 30 -- Sunil Smriti Rural Municipality in eastern Rolpa has come up with a new plan to address the issue of privately-paid teachers at the community schools in the rural municipality.

In the annual policies and programs presented for the upcoming fiscal year 2020-21, the rural municipality has stated that it would scrap the positions of private teachers at the community schools replacing them by new ones - 'rural municipality teachers'. According to the Chairman Gunendra Gharti, the local government will conduct an examination to replace the existing 56 private teachers with new 'rural municipality teachers' at 42 community-based schools within the jurisdiction of the local unit.
