Nepal, April 3 -- An organization, Biocomp Nepal, has collected 143.55 metric tonnes of waste from the rivers of the Kathmandu valley under the River+ project. The organization collected such amounts of garbage after cleaning 16 rivers and rivulets in the Valley partnering with local organisations 'People in Need' and 'Clean Up Nepal'.
According to Clean Up Nepal, the initiative was made possible through the active participation of more than 100 volunteers, members of local communities, Nepal Police, students from different educational institutions, according to the organizer.
