Nepal, May 2 -- The government plans to utilize domestic capital, including remittances from foreign workers, to finance the construction of hydroelectric projects under the 'People's Hydropower' initiative.

President Ramchandra Paudel announced this during his presentation of the government's policies and programs for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/26 to parliament on Friday. The government aims to boost investment in domestic hydroelectric projects, utilizing funds from Nepali workers abroad.
