Nepal, June 3 -- A protest demanding the restoration of the monarchy was held on Tuesday in Siphal, Kathmandu.

The demonstration was organised by the United People's Movement Committee, led by Navaraj Subedi. Kamal Thapa, chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, also took part in the protest.

Following a decision by the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, to ban protests in most parts of the capital-except for Siphal, Balkhu, and Koteshwor-royalist groups concentrated their activities in the permitted area of Siphal.
