Nepal, Sept. 24 -- President Ramchandra Paudel has issued an ordinance to amend the Voter List Act, 2073, introduced by the government.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Sushila Karki met with President Paudel, during which the government formally presented the ordinance to the president, sources said.

The ordinance allows citizens of the Gen Z generation, who have reached voting age but are not yet included in the voter list, to register and exercise their right to vote.
EC Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said the ordinance removes legal obstacles to collecting the voter list. The EC will hold a meeting to set the schedule for voter list collection.
