Nepal, June 3 -- The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has blacklisted two foreign construction companies and one Nepali firm for failing to comply with procurement regulations.

In a decision made on Monday, Japan's Marushin Shitaka Construction, India's PH-SMNS JV, and Nepal's Shankarmali Nirman Sewa were added to the blacklist under the Public Procurement Act.

Marushin and PH-SMNS have been blacklisted for two years, while Shankarmali has received a one-year ban.

During the blacklist period, these companies are barred from participating in any public procurement processes in Nepal.
