Nepal, June 4 -- Police have recovered 1,120 kilograms of marijuana from Harinagar Rural Municipality in Sunsari district. The marijuana was found buried under sand in the river basin of Katan Khola, located in wards 5 and 6 of Harinagar.
According to the Koshi Province Police Office, acting on a tip-off, a joint team from the Sunsari District Police Office, the Area Police Office Dewanganj, and the Armed Police Force reached the riverbed of Katan Khola on Tuesday. During the search operation, 38 plastic sacks filled with marijuana were found buried in the river basin.
