Kathmandu, Oct. 17 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chandra Kuber Khapung has expressed sadness over the "unimaginable losses" the country faced from the Gen Z protests of September 8 and 9 and the subsequent unrest.
Speaking at a program organized to commemorate the 70th Police Day on Friday, IGP Khapung said that the Nepal Police has continued to stand as a strong representative of the state despite the losses it bears. He said that the police institution faces both the affection and anger of citizens in equal measure.
