KATHMANDU, May 25 -- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has vowed to expand the scope of COVID-19 testing in at least two percent population of the country.

At his televised state address, the prime minister said that the government is doing its best to prevent and control the coronavirus. "We have conducted COVID-19 tests through at least 20 labs across the country even though we had just one lab facility in the beginning," Oli said.

The government is working to increase the number of quarantine facilities by utilizing the hotels and public infrastructure which are now not being used, he said.
