Nepal, March 16 -- Nepal's first flyover, which was under construction in Gwarko, Lalitpur, is being demolished just before its completion, sparking a wave of concerns regarding quality standards. With around 82 percent of the work already completed, the flyover project faced an unexpected setback after "precast panels" were found to be substandard.

In a surprising turn of events, cracks began to appear in the cement walls even as soil was being filled in, prompting the Quality Research and Development Center to step in. Upon inspection, the center determined that the structural integrity of the flyover was compromised, and it ordered the demolition and reconstruction of the precast panels.
