Nepal, June 22 -- In the first 11 months of the current Fiscal Year (FY), Nepal imported petroleum products worth Rs 174.09 billion through the Birgunj customs point, including diesel, petrol, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), aviation turbine fuel (ATF), and kerosene.

While the overall import value decreased by Rs 1.05 billion compared to the same period last year, revenue generated from these imports rose by 11.66 percent, or Rs 7.64 billion. According to Birgunj Customs Chief Deepak Lamichhane, petroleum remained the top source of revenue for the office.During this period, diesel imports reached 10.3 million kiloliters, valued at Rs 89.76 billion, compared to 9.21 million kiloliters worth Rs 93.63 billion last year.
