Nepal, May 22 -- The import of petroleum products has increased by 7.5 percent. In the 10 months of the current Fiscal Year (FY) 2024/25, petroleum products worth Rs 223 billion have been imported. From this, the government collected Rs 92.51 billion in revenue.
According to the Department of Customs, diesel worth Rs 102.38 billion was imported, totaling 1.147 million kiloliters. Similarly, petrol worth Rs 53.05 billion was imported, totaling 612,012 kiloliters and aviation fuel worth Rs 16.14 billion was imported, totaling 177,929 kiloliters.

Likewise, LPG (cooking gas) worth Rs 51.81 billion was imported, amounting to 456.88 million kilograms.
