Nepal, May 16 -- The Parliamentary Committee has passed the Federal Civil Service Bill. The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee under the House of Representatives approved the bill on Friday.

The Civil Service Bill was registered in the House of Representatives on February 4, 2024. After a general discussion, the bill was sent to the State Affairs Committee for clause-by-clause discussion on May 28, 2024.

The Federal Civil Service Bill had received 1,583 amendments in 124 groups from lawmakers. The parliamentary committee passed the bill after reviewing the proposed amendments and discussing it in detail. According to the committee members, a cooling period of 2...
