Nepal, June 6 -- The scheduled meeting of the federal parliament for Friday at 1 pm was postponed. According to a notice posted by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the next session will now take place on Sunday at 1 pm.

The ongoing deadlock between the ruling and opposition parties over the visa scandal is the main reason behind the disruption. The opposition has firmly demanded the formation of an investigation committee, while the ruling party remains indifferent to the issue.
Due to this political impasse, the parliament has been unable to convene since May 28.
