Kathmandu, Oct. 24 -- Parbat is making strides towards self-reliance in food grains and vegetables, with agricultural product exports generating over Rs 650 million. By focusing on six key crops, the agricultural sector achieved a business turnover of Rs 653,047,000 in the fiscal year 2081/082 BS.
As reported by the Parbat Agricultural Knowledge Centre, farmers in the district earned this amount through the sale of potatoes, rice, cardamom, vegetables, maize, and citrus fruits. In Parbat, potatoes and oranges are the primary exports, while paddy, seasonal and off-season vegetables, cardamom, and maize are cultivated for both seeds and sale.
