RUPANDEHI, March 10 -- Following pressures from the opposition and the ruling party members, the assembly of Province 5 formed a special committee to recommend the name and capital of the province. However, the committee is nowhere close to making any recommendations despite missing two deadlines.

This 15-member committee's first deadline expired on November 9 and another three months were extended. However, the committee failed to submit the report even in those three months. Knowing that the second deadline will expire Saturday (March 9), provincial assembly meeting held on March 6 extended the deadline up to June 19.
