KATHMANDU, Sept. 20 -- Nepal has faced an alarming number of 3,681 disaster incidents in the past six months, affecting 6,590 households, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA).

During this period, 243 people lost their lives, 869 were injured, and 24 remain missing. Fires were the most frequent disaster, with 1,295 incidents that killed 23 people, injured 177, and left 1,411 families affected.

Floods followed with 263 events, taking 29 lives, injuring 14, leaving 23 missing, and impacting 1,861 families. Landslides were reported 463 times, causing 24 deaths and 41 injuries.
