Nepal, Sept. 27 -- The government has provided the first tranche of funds for the construction of temporary housing for the victims of last year's disaster in the district.

A relief amount of Rs 7.79 million has been provided to 3,128 disaster survivors as the first installment in 13 local governments of the district.

Around Rs 40 million released to the office account for the second installment has largely remained unclaimed by most local governments.
