KATHMANDU, March 9 -- Kathmandu-based office of Oriental Insurance Co Ltd has provided financial support of Rs 2 million quake victims and school students under its Corporate Social Responsibility.

Issuing a recent statement, the company said it provided Rs 1 million to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund to support the Jajarkot earthquake victims and Rs 1 million to Samata Educational Foundation for school students.

RR Singh, the chairman and managing director of the insurance company with its head office in New Delhi, India along with General Manager Rekha Mohanty Thakur and CEO of its Nepal Office T Chakraborty handed over cheques to the PM Relief Fund as well as Samata Education Trust during a recent visit to Nepal.
