Nepal, Feb. 6 -- One person has been killed in a syringe attack in Bhadrakpur Municipality-10, Satrabighe, Jhapa. According to the District Police Office, local Khem Dhakal died after being attacked by unidentified individuals.

Police said Dhakal was returning home from a neighbor's house on Thursday evening when he was attacked. He sustained serious injuries and died on the way to the hospital while being taken for treatment.

Police have arrested 26-year-old Dipesh Kumar Singh of Siraha district on suspicion of involvement in the attack, said police spokesperson Khagendra Bahadur Khadka. The substance used in the syringe has not yet been identified, police said, adding that further investigation is underway.
