KATHMANDU, May 5 -- A person has died and 14 others were injured in a bus accident that occured in Dhankuta on Monday morning.

According to the District Police Office, Dhankuta, the bus (1 Kha 2177) traveling from Dharan to Dhankuta met with an accident at Gothgaun in Dhankuta. Among the injured, one person has died and three others are in critical condition.

The injured were rescued and taken to Dhankuta District Hospital for treatment. The accident occurred at around 10:15 AM today when the passenger bus heading toward Bhojpur from Dharan veered off the road and fell down along the Koshi Highway in Gothgaun, Dhankuta Municipality-6.
