Nepal, Feb. 19 -- CPN UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has said Democracy Day marks the historic moment when the autocratic Rana regime was ended through the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the people, ushering in the dawn of freedom and rights.

Extending his best wishes on the occasion of Democracy Day today, Oli made the remarks in a message. He paid heartfelt tribute and respect to the immortal martyrs Shukraraj Shastri, Dasharath Chand, Dharmabhakta Mathema, and Gangalal Shrestha, who sacrificed their lives for democracy.
