Nepal, Dec. 18 -- KP Sharma Oli has been re-elected as chair of the CPN-UML from the party's 11th general convention, where two rival panels contested key leadership positions. A total of 19 office bearers were elected through the process.

The results show an overwhelming dominance of Oli's camp, with 17 office bearers elected from his panel, while only two candidates from the panel led by Ishwar Pokhrel secured positions.

From Oli's panel, Prithvi Subba Gurung, Bishnu Paudel, Ram Bahadur Thapa, Gokarna Bista and Raghuji Pant were elected as vice-chairs, while Shankar Pokhrel was elected general secretary.
