Nepal, Feb. 10 -- The Nepal Students' Union (NSU) chapter of Tribhuvan University (TU) Central Campus has objected to the establishment of a police office on the Tribhuvan University campus. The NSU, in a statement, demanded the immediate removal of the police outpost from the university premises.
The statement, signed by the committee's chairman, Kishor Bhandari, and Secretary Ashwin Duwadi, reads, "The university is a zone of peace. It is a universal belief that universities, where educational and research activities take place, should be free of fear, anxiety, and distress. Every student, professor, and researcher has the right to carry out their educational activities in a peaceful environment within the university premises."
