KATHMANDU, March 1 -- The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced that it has kept the price of petroleum products unchanged, despite an increase in prices by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), NOC's sole supplier of petroleum products.

According to Manoj Thakur, NOC spokesperson, while the price of petrol has risen by 21 paisa per liter and that of diesel by 85 paisa per liter in India, Nepal has refrained from adjusting its prices accordingly.

Furthermore, the NOC has revealed that the cost of liquefied petroleum (LP) gas for cooking has surged by Rs 22.66 per cylinder. Despite the hike in prices from India, NOC has decided not to increase prices in Nepal, prioritizing consumer interests.
