KATHMANDU, April 5 -- The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has continued investigating the March 28 incident that took place in Tinkune and other areas of Kathmandu.

The NHRC deployed multiple teams to monitor the situation and issued a press release sharing its preliminary assessment based on the information it gathered immediately.

NHRC spokesperson Tikaram Pokharel said the commission has noted comments and criticisms circulating on social media and in some news outlets concerning the human rights situation and the commission's role in the incident.
