Nepal, July 3 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index continued its upward momentum for the fifth consecutive trading day, rising by 9.14 points on Thursday, to close at 2,703.96 points. The day's total market turnover reached Rs 9.64 billion.

The secondary market opened at 2,700.17 points and reached 2705.64 points in the first 14 minutes before plunging to the day's low of 2686.71 points in the following 18 minutes.

After multiple cycles of surge and shrivel, the index escalated to the day's peak of 2716.14 points with 36 minutes remaining in the four-hour trading period.
