Kathmandu, Oct. 13 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday rose by 44.25 points following a heavy fall in the past few days.

The secondary market opened at 2,503.35 points and plunged to the day's low at 2,479.36 points in the first 10 minutes. Following a series of fluctuations, the market went into steady growth after one and a half hours of trading. Overall, the market surged by 1.76 percent.
