KATHMANDU, May 14 -- Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday increased by a notable 28.62 points to close at 2,027.51 points.

The secondary market opened at 1,998.89 points and witnessed minor fluctuations until the first 40 minutes of the commencement of trading. The index however escalated successively in the remaining trading hours before the market closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of 'A' class companies also climbed 3.60 points. The daily turnover increased to Rs 4.08 billion from Rs 3.40 billion on Monday.
