KATHMANDU, Feb. 28 -- Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday slipped marginally by 0.87 points to close at 2,000.77 points.

The market opened at 2,001.64 points and fell to the day's low at 1,992.58 points in the first one and a half hours of trading. The market rose to the day's high at 2,009.4 points in the last 25 minutes. The index dropped around nine points in the remaining period before the market closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of 'A' class companies declined by 0.63 points. The daily turnover increased slightly to Rs 2.038 billion from Rs 1.869 billion on Tuesday.
