KATHMANDU, Oct. 2 -- Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday fell by 26.07 points to close at 2,597.49 points.

The secondary market opened at 2,623.56 points and witnessed a number of fluctuations before it hit day's high at 2,643.77 points in the first 50 minutes. The market however went into a falling graph and reached the day's low at 2,583.3 points when only 25 minutes of trading time was left. The market recovered around 14 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of 'A' class companies, decreased by 4.10 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 6.77 billion from Rs 7.61 billion on Tuesday.
