KATHMANDU, Feb. 1 -- Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday plunged 30.92 points to close at 2,067.01 points.

In the intraday trading, the market opened at 2,097.93 points and fell successively and reached the day's low at 2,063.97 points in the last 10 minutes of trading. The market recovered around three points before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of 'A' class companies decreased 4.69 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 4.18 billion from Rs 5.29 billion on Wednesday.

Out of the 13 trading groups, only finance added 3.76 points. Of the losers, life insurance and non-life insurance shed 136.01 points and 125.11 points, respectively.
