KATHMANDU, May 28 -- Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Sunday dipped 17.35 points to close at 1,941.77 points.

The secondary market opened at 1,959.12 points and went to as low as 1,949.2 points in the first few minutes of the trading. The market index went to the day's high at 1,977.47 points and stayed stable for almost an hour, before it went to a straight downfall losing around 36 points to close for the day.

In the intraday trading, 173 listed companies lost their market values, while 43 companies registered as gainers. The sensitive index that measures the performance of the blue chip companies also dropped 1.90 points.
