KATHMANDU, March 26 -- Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday increased by 10.14 points to close at 2,041.70 points.

The market opened at 2,031.55 points and escalated by around 14 points in the first half an hour. In the next 20 minutes, the index however declined to as low as 2,032.62 points. The index gradually escalated to the day's high at 2,048.64 points in the last one hour of the trading time. In the remaining period, the market slid around seven points to close for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of 'A' class companies increased 0.86 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 2.35 billion from Rs 2.48 billion on Monday.
