Nepal, Oct. 5 -- In an unexpected turn, a Nepali flag was spotted among demonstrators during an ongoing protest in Georgia, where thousands of youths surrounded the presidential palace in Tbilisi on Friday, demanding sweeping political reforms.

According to Georgia based OC Media, which published video footage of the protest, the Nepali flag was seen fluttering during the clashes near the presidential residence in Tbilisi. The outlet quoted a demonstrator as saying the Georgian government had "put itself into the Nepalese scenario" - a reference to Nepal's recent Gen Z movement that led to the fall of its previous government.
