KATHMANDU, Sept. 12 -- The Nepali Army (NA) has urged the general public not to believe or spread false, misleading and unverified information circulating on social media and other platforms.

In a statement issued on Friday, the NA emphasized the need for restraint in sharing unconfirmed comments, opinions, and analyses.

The national army is currently playing a supportive role in maintaining peace and security and facilitating dialogue between the Gen Z representatives and the President regarding the formation of an interim government following the 8 September protest.

The army also advised citizens to contact the Directorate of Public Relations and Information or the nearest divisional headquarters in case of any emergencies.
