Nepal, Sept. 25 -- Nepal will not have a high-level delegation at the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York this year, as the country grapples with sudden political changes and an incomplete cabinet.

Following the Gen-Z uprising, the government led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki has yet to assign a foreign minister. With the foreign ministry portfolio under the prime minister and the current political situation preventing her from traveling abroad, Nepal will be represented only by its Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Lok Bahadur Thapa.
