Nepal, June 28 -- The CPN (Unified Socialist) has concluded that Madhav Kumar Nepal will continue to serve as the party's chairperson. A meeting of the party's Secretariat held on Friday concluded that Nepal should continue as chairperson, stating that the case filed against him was politically motivated.

"The Comrade Chairperson will continue in the role. He has been working as the party chairman," said Vice-Chairperson Prakash Jwala after the meeting. "He has been chairing the meetings as chairperson."
