Nepal, May 9 -- Nepal showcased its strides in women-led entrepreneurship and sustainable tourism at the South Asian Women's Conference on Women's Economic Empowerment in Rural South Asia: Sustainable Pathways, held recently in Thimphu. The three-day international conference was inaugurated by the queen mother of Bhutan.

The conference brought together policymakers, grassroots leaders and development partners to discuss women's economic empowerment, the effects of climate change, cross-border challenges, and models for sustainable business and tourism.
