Nepal, May 21 -- Nepal's total foreign trade amounted to Rs 1692 billion in ten months of current Fiscal Year (FY) 2024/25.
According to the data of the Department of Customs (DoC), this marks an 18.37 percent increase in trade compared to the same period last year, during which the total foreign trade was Rs 1429.53 billion.

In the current FY's 10-month period, foreign trade has increased along with a rise in both imports and exports. Imports accounted for 87.12 percent, while exports made up 12.88 percent of the total trade. Accordingly, the country's trade deficit has exceeded Rs 1250 billion.
