Nepal, June 5 -- Nepal has imported petroleum products worth Rs 16.19 billion through the eastern border at Kakarbhitta in the first 10 months of the current Fiscal Year (FY) 2024/25.

Petrol, diesel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), aviation turbine fuel (ATF), and kerosene were imported through this point.

Ishwar Kumar Humagain, information officer at the Mechi Customs Office, said the import of petroleum products has decreased by Rs 917.7 million compared to the same period of the previous FY. Despite the decline in imports, revenue generated from petroleum products increased by 5.90 percent, equivalent to Rs 437.4 million.
