Nepal, Sept. 4 -- The government on Thursday decided to ban all unregistered social media and Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms in Nepal. With this decision, over two dozen social platforms will go offline in Nepal soon.

However, a few social media platforms that are either already registered or are in the process of registering in Nepal will still be available in Nepal. According to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MoCIT), the platforms that will continue operating as usual will include TikTok, Viber, Telegram, Nimbuzz, Poppo Live, Global diary and WeTalk.
