KATHMANDU, May 18 -- The Nepali Army has retrieved the bodies of two climbers from Camp 4 of Mount Everest and near the summit of Lhotse Himal as part of the 'Safa Himal Abhiyan' (Clean Mountains Campaign).

Nepal Army Spokesman Gaurav KC said that the two bodies, which had been missing for a long time, were brought to Kathmandu as part of the Safa Himal Abhiyan. Both bodies were transported from the base camp to the TU Teaching Hospital via a Nepali Army helicopter.

"Since the identities are not yet known, post-mortems will be conducted and DNA samples will be collected," KC stated.
