Nepal, Jan. 22 -- Nepali Congress is set to formally announce Party President Gagan Thapa as its candidate for future Prime Minister during a Central Working Committee meeting in Sanepa on Friday.

The party has for that reason called its CWC meeting at the party office in Sanepa for Friday.

The announcement will come as one of the major agenda of the January 11-14 Special General Convention which dissolved the Sher Bahadur Deuba-led committee and elected a new leadership team.

This marks the first time the committee will convene in the party office at Sanepa, after internal disputes had previously forced meetings to be held elsewhere.
