KATHMANDU, Sept. 20 -- Nepali Congress (NC) has declared the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR), following the September 8-9 protests, as unconstitutional. The party's Central Executive Committee (CEC), which met at the NC office in Sanepa, Lalitpur, on Friday, decided to consult and coordinate with other parties before taking further steps.

The meeting, the first since the Gen-Z-led two-day uprising that triggered a power shift, expressed deep regret over human casualties and damage to public and private property during the protests. NC also called for a thorough investigation into these incidents.
