Kathmandu, Oct. 1 -- The Nepali Congress (NC) has strongly objected to the government's decision to freeze the passports of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, and three other officials. In a press statement, the NC accused the government of taking politically vindictive measures by freezing passports and imposing restrictions on domestic movement. The statement says, "Decisions that freeze passports and restrict movement even within our own country indicate that the government is taking a path other than fulfilling its designated responsibilities."The NC also urged the interim government to "focus on ending impunity rather than engaging in retaliatory politics against political parties."
