Nepal, Jan. 20 -- Nepali Congress has nominated cricket commentator Sachin Timalsena for Kathmandu-4, a seat previously held by party president Gagan Thapa.

Nepali Congress has announced Sachin Timalsena as its candidate for Kathmandu constituency number 4According to sources, the NC's Parliamentary Board approved Timalsena's nomination.

Timalsena is a well-known cricket commentator and a long-time supporter of the NC. Kathmandu-4 is considered a stronghold of NC President Gagan Thapa, who won two consecutive elections from there.

This time, Thapa is filing his candidacy from Sarlahi-4.
