KATHMANDU, Jan. 6 -- The political parties within the ruling coalition, which have agreed to contest the upcoming National Assembly elections scheduled for January 25 together, have submitted their respective claims regarding the number of seats.

During a meeting on Saturday morning at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar, the Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), and CPN (Unified Socialist) Party asserted the number of seats each party should receive out of the 19 seats designated for the National Assembly elections.
