Kathmandu, Aug. 6 -- Monsoon winds continue to sweep across Nepal, bringing with them grey skies and the threat of heavy downpours. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has issued an alert for potential heavy rainfall in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces, urging citizens to stay cautious as disruptions to daily life, health, roadways, and flights may follow.

The monsoon trough has drifted north of its average position and now hovers over Nepal's Terai region. As a result, cloud cover has blanketed much of the country's hilly terrain-particularly in Karnali and Sudurpaschim-while other parts remain partly cloudy.
